Windows 7 to be release in October

The newest version of the Windows operating system destined to replace Vista is set to be released in October. News sites are reporting that Microsoft has stated that anyone who purchases a new computer now will be given a free upgrade to Windows 7 upon its release.
"I did get that in writing from your sales person."
I have been experiementing with a trial copy for a couple of weeks and here is what I can tell you so far. It seems to move smoother and with less errors than Vista, the look and feel is the same, and it appears as though Micosoft may have made some nice improvements to home networking.
The following software has been tested with good results.
Norton (symantec) Internet Security 2009
Avast Home edtion Anti virus.
Spybot
Malware bytes
CCleaner
Auslogics Defragmenter.
Open Office

The computer I am running this on is an old Dell E510 with a 3.0 Intel processer (single core) and 3 gigs of ram. The hardware for this computer is from the 2003 era and it all worked.
Hopefully your hardware will work as well.
